Make a swatch or sample with the main yarn of around 40 stitches and 30 rows

Hips: 14"; 14*7=98 stitches (approx)

Knitted 8 inches to reach waist, excluding border; 8*9=72 rows (approx)

Waist: 12.5"; 12.5*7=88 stitches (approx)

Knitted 13 inches to reach arm hole, excluding border; 13*9=117 (approx)

Chest: 13"; 13*7=91 stitches (approx)

Casted off 5 stitches for arm hole

Arm hole length: 7"; 7*9=63

Arm hole depth: 8"

Decreased 5 more stitches for arm hole shaping

Held 15 stitches for neck after 13" of knitting

Knitted shoulders one by one

Shaped neck by decreasing 8 stitches

Shoulder has 18 stitches; 18/7=2.6"

Neck band is 1 inch. It is 2 knit 1 purl garter, and is folded inside and stitched

Short rows for sleeves

Picked 6 stitches initially, and picked 4 more at the end of each row

All stitches were picked in 25 rows

Decreased 4 stitches every 4th row (8 times)

First Intarsia pattern on 15th row. Repeated every 20th row

Decrease 2 stitches every 10th row (4 times)

Wrist - 63 stitches (9 ")
